In Jujutsu Piece, money is essentially the primary source of currency you'll need to accrue to progress. Money is used to buy new weapons and skillsets, and most importantly to roll for new fruits and skillsets. Here is how to get Money fast in Jujutsu Piece on Roblox and the best way to farm it.

Best way to farm Money in Jujutsu Piece

The best way to farm Money fast in Jujutsu Piece is to repeatedly kill the highest level boss that you can successfully face. This is true all the way up to about Level 450, where you can easily and quickly kill the Claws Sorceror boss from the third island, Training Village. This rewards you with the highest amount of Money per kill, making it worth farming on repeat once you get that far.

Of course, you're going to want to farm Money before you get that high of Level, so here are the bosses you should farm up to that point:

  • Before Level 50 - Just level, don't farm Money.
  • Level 50-124 - The Puncher (First Island, Jujutsu High)
  • Level 125-174 - Buppy (Second Island, Windmill Village)
  • Level 175-224 - Blast Master (Second Island, Windmill Village)
  • Level 225-274 - Smokey Controller (Second Island, Windmill Village)
  • Level 275-299 - Kento Student (Third Island, Training Village)
  • Level 300-324 - Strawdoll Student (Third Island, Training Village)
  • Level 325-374 - Kamo Member (Third Island, Training Village)
  • Level 375-424 - Deaf Sorceror (Third Island, Training Village)
  • Level 425+ - Claws Sorceror (Third Island, Training Village)

Once you reach Level 450+ you can easily farm the Claws Sorceror quickly, often outpacing the amount of Money you can farm on even higher level bosses. However, if you want to farm decent Money while also leveling efficiently, you can still farm some of the higher level bosses such as the Magma Queen, Light King, or even the Blood Master or Muscular Sorceror once you reach Level 1000.

Squid Game: Season 2 just got a “special teaser” and it reveals quite a bit https://www.destructoid.com/squid-game-season-2-just-got-a-special-teaser-and-it-reveals-quite-a-bit/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=squid-game-season-2-just-got-a-special-teaser-and-it-reveals-quite-a-bit https://www.destructoid.com/squid-game-season-2-just-got-a-special-teaser-and-it-reveals-quite-a-bit/#respond Fri, 20 Sep 2024 20:00:01 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=602564 Squid Game Season 2 Special Teaser

Netflix has dropped a new "Special Teaser" for the upcoming Squid Game: Season 2, and the roughly one-minute video actually gives us quite a bit of information about the upcoming season. If you want to go into Squid Game: Season 2 completely blind when it drops on December 26, you might want to skip it. But if you're like us and looking for any more Squid Game goodness, here's what we've gathered from the teaser.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1GqzyjUbT4c

Return of Gi-hun (and Player 456)

Even though Squid Game: Season 1 ended with the main character Seong Gi-hun planning to head to the United States and never return to the madness that is Squid Game, we quickly realize that's not the case. Even though Squid Game: Season 2 takes place three years after Gi-hun won Squid Game, in the teaser we see Gi-hun once again waking up in the infamous room full of stacked bunk beds with other contestants which confirms what many have suspected: For one reason or another, Gi-hun is once again a contestant in Squid Game.

Oh, and he's once again rocking the Player 456 jumpsuit. Assuming the second season's challenge also consists of 456 players like the first, that makes it highly unlikely that Gi-hun just so happened to randomly get the number in back to back Squid Games. And in the teaser, Gi-hun wakes up in the room of beds seemingly surprised to be there. So what does this mean? It's highly likely that someone—perhaps even the Front Man, In-ho, from Season 1—is messing with Gi-hun for some reason.

However, it's also possible that the teaser is intentionally misleading its viewers into thinking Gi-hun is surprised to be there. Perhaps Gi-hun has intentionally returned to the game with the goal of seeking revenge, or perhaps Gi-hun has returned to the Squid Game in the role that Oh Il-nam, the old man, played in Season 1: not as an actual contestant, but a "hidden player" for one reason or another.

Plenty of New Games

As expected, it looks like the contestants in Squid Game: Season 2 will have some all-new games to endure for their chance of winning 45.6 billion won. Throughout the teaser, we get brief flashes of various game rooms and challenges that are taking place, including once again an arena of sorts with a retractable roof hidden amongst the treetops of a remote island.

One of the flashes we see is a dirt or floor with two big rainbow circles on the ground, with contestants pouring into the game room from a single door. It's way too early to tell, but some of the new games even appear to be inspired by games from the original Squid Game season like "Red Light, Green Light" and even the final challenge, aptly titled Squid Game.

Second seasons are always very hit or miss, but it at least looks like Squid Game: Season 2 is similar enough to Season 1 that fans wanting more should be happy. We'll know more soon as Squid Game: Season 2 is set to release on Netflix on December 26.

In Anime Spirits, some of the playable Souls are certainly better than others. With a wide variety of Souls across tons of anime, it's important to pick the right Soul for you. We've put together this Anime Spirits Tier Lisit for all Souls so you know which ones you should play.

Anime Spirits Tier List

There are just under 40 total Souls in Anime Spirits with the latest update, ranging in rarity including Common, Uncommon, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, and even Secret. While it's a good rule of thumb that the higher the rarity the better the Soul, there are exclusions to this rule.

With our tier list, the Souls in the S Tier are the best and are the ones you should focus on getting as they are top tier overall. Those in the A Tier are also great and can be used efficiently until you get Souls in the S Tier. Those in the B Tier are decent starting options until you're able to get Souls in the S or A tier, and those in the C Tier are simply too weak to recommend at the moment and should be replaced as soon as possible. Here is our Anime Spirits Tier List for all Souls currently in the game and their rarity:

How to get and use Shadow Traces in Anime Vanguards https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-and-use-shadow-traces-in-anime-vanguards/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-and-use-shadow-traces-in-anime-vanguards https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-and-use-shadow-traces-in-anime-vanguards/#respond Fri, 20 Sep 2024 18:28:59 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=602479 How to get and use Shadow Traces in Anime Vanguards

In Anime Vanguards there are a variety of resources and materials you will need to farm to properly evolve your strongest units, including Shadow Traces. Though you don't get many, you can still target farm Shadow Traces so you can evolve units as needed. Here is how to get and use the Shadow Traces you need in Anime Vanguards.

How to get Shadow Traces in Anime Vanguards
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to get Shadow Traces

The best way to get Shadow Traces in Anime Vanguards is to complete and farm the Double Dungeon Legend Stage Act 2 which is titled The Tossing Titan. This dungeon recommends Level 21+, and after 15 waves you will have to defeat the Spear Statue boss. Completing this Legend Stage has a 100% chance of rewarding between 1-3 Shadow Traces.

This means you can continually farm The Tossing Titan stage over and over to farm as many Shadow Traces as you need. With an optimized build, you can typically clear the stage in about 6-8 minutes, so depending on your luck you can often farm as much Shadow Traces as you need to evolve a unit in about an hour or less.

How to use Shadow Traces

Once you have enough Shadow Traces, and more than likely a required amount of Essences of various colors depending on which unit you are evolving, you can then visit the Evolve center and evolve your unit using the Shadow Traces, Essences, and Gold. More than likely, you're going to want to evolve Song Jinwu into Song Jinwu (Monarch) using your Shadow Traces. Here are the full resources required to evolve Song Jinwu:

  • 12 Shadow Traces
  • 1 Rainbow Essence
  • 30 Green Essences
  • 12 Pink Essences
  • 10 Yellow Essences
  • 15,000 Gold

You can also use Shadow Traces, along with multiple copies of the Song Jinwu unit to visit the Acsension vendor and ascend Song Jinwu. The amount of Shadow Traces required increases after each Ascension, but with each one, your Song Jinwu unit becomes even stronger.

Developer Mega Cat Studios announced today that its long-in-development 16-bit top-down RPG shooter Lethal Wedding is moving into a new phase of development since it was announced back in 2019. Perhaps the most interesting aspect of Lethal Wedding is its platforms: Sega Genesis and Mega Drive.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gtK-RC4AzZk

I'm not as familiar with the Genesis and Mega Drive as our very own Zoey "Retro Queen" Handley, but for even a layman like me I'm immediately getting Zombies Ate My Neighbors vibes from Lethal Wedding, so sign me up.

According to Mega Cat Studios, the story of Lethal Wedding kicks off after a drug ring of criminal clowns crashes a bachelor party and kidnaps your groom the day before the big wedding. Of course, it falls to the players, the bride-to-be and her mother-in-law to rescue him from the psycho circus performers. You know, just another day.

Lethal Wedding features couch co-op, over 25 upgrades, over 30 levels, fully animated cutscenes, and an innovative "Vow System" that gives you the option to earn upgrades at the expense of taking on new challenges in the ultimate risk vs reward situation.

Mega Cat Studios will be taking Lethal Wedding to Kickstarter on November 4 ahead of its Sega Genesis and Mega Drive release.

MMORPG Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen set for Early Access this December https://www.destructoid.com/mmorpg-pantheon-rise-of-the-fallen-set-for-early-access-this-december/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=mmorpg-pantheon-rise-of-the-fallen-set-for-early-access-this-december https://www.destructoid.com/mmorpg-pantheon-rise-of-the-fallen-set-for-early-access-this-december/#respond Thu, 19 Sep 2024 18:25:28 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=601634 Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen Early Access

Developer Visionary Realms revealed today that its upcoming fantasy MMORPG, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen, is set to enter Early Access in December 2024 after over a decade of development. Visionary Realms believes launching in Early Access will give players access to the game world of Terminus ahead of its 1.0 release and allow them to help shape Pantheon.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lw2s30ogWi8

Originally announced in January 2014, Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen has been developed as an MMORPG seeking to bring back the heavy emphasis on social aspects that seem to be mostly forgotten in modern-day MMOs. The goal is to give players the desire to group up with others and work together to overcome challenging encounters, be it in PvE or PvP.

The developer, Visionary Realms, was originally founded by legendary MMORPG developer Brad McQuaid, who served as Chief Creative Officer on Pantheon until he passed away in November 2019. After failing to reach its funding goal via Kickstarter—though it did raise over $460,000 of its $800,000 goal—Visionary Realms began funding the MMORPG through its own website.

Even though not all content will be available in the Early Access release, the amount of available content does look beefy. Players will be able to level up to Level 40 while exploring six unique zones, each with their own content and adventures. In terms of character, players can choose from six different races: Human, Ogre, Elf, Dark Myr, Dwarf, and Halfing. Each race has a selection of classes they are able to play as well, with 12 total classes at launch: Cleric, Dire Lord, Enchanter, Monk, Necromancer, Paladin, Ranger, Rogue, Shaman, Summoner, Warrior, and Wizard.

I firmly believe a return to the social elements that made classic MMORPGs great back in the heyday of EverQuest and classic World of Warcraft is in the genre's best interest. A fine mix of modern MMO with classic social elements may very well be the key to moving the genre forward, which has been rather stagnant in recent years. Hopefully Pantheon: Rise of the Fallen is a step in the right direction. We'll find out soon when the MMORPG enters Early Access in December 2024.

Just days after winning its $15 million dollar copyright lawsuit against a Chinese company behind a mobile game called Pocket Monster Reissue that seemed to blatantly use Pokemon characters, The Pokemon Company and Nintendo have filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Pocketpair Inc., the developer of hit game Palworld that released earlier this year.

According to the press release by Nintendo, the joint patent infringement lawsuit was filed today, September 18, 2024, and seeks an injunction against infringement and compensation for damages on the grounds that Palworld infringes multiple patent rights. The release also reiterates a statement provided by Nintendo earlier this year in which Nintendo indicated that it will continue to take necessary actions against any infringement of its intellectual property rights including the Nintendo brand itself, to protect the intellectual properties it has worked hard to establish over the years.

Palworld released in Early Access in January this year and sold over a million copies in just 8 hours. By the end of January Palworld had surpassed 19 million total players, becoming one of the fastest-selling games on Steam of all time.

This story is still developing and may be updated in real time as more details become available.

How to make an efficient Versatile Framework setup in Satisfactory https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-make-an-efficient-versatile-framework-setup-in-satisfactory/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-make-an-efficient-versatile-framework-setup-in-satisfactory https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-make-an-efficient-versatile-framework-setup-in-satisfactory/#respond Wed, 18 Sep 2024 20:34:28 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=600665 Efficient Versatile Framework setup in Satisfactory

In Satisfactory, it's important to have an efficient Versatile Framework factory up and running pretty early. In fact, you'll use Versatile Frameworks throughout every phase of Satisfactory, including needing a staggering 2,500 of them as part of your Phase 3 completion. Here is how to make an efficient Versatile Framework setup in Satisfactory to cover your needs.

Best Versatile Framework Factory in Satisfactory
Screenshot by Destructoid

Best Versatile Framework Factory in Satisfactory

This efficient Versatile Framework setup for Satisfactory will produce a total of 10 Versatile Framework every 10 minutes, which will be enough to last you throughout all of Satisfactory. The only resource requirements for this factory is 240 Coal per minute, and a total of 360 Iron Ore per minute. Depending on the quality of nodes in which you setup this factory, you can achieve this with just a single Coal and Iron Ore Miner. Keep in mind you can also Overclock the Miners to reach the output you need.

Regardless of how you acquire the resources needed, here are all the buildings for the factory that you will need to construct to get this factory up and running, in case you want to add them to your to-do list:

  • 4 Smelters
  • 6 Foundries
  • 14 Constructors
  • 7 Assemblers

Once you have all the materials needed to construct the buildings, it's time to begin building your Versatile Framework factory. Start from the point in which you have both your Coal and Iron Ore being brought in. First, let's start with the Iron Ore. Send the Iron Ore into a Splitter that splits the Iron Ore three ways, then immediately reconnect two of the three using a Merger. This is so you will have 240 Iron Ore / min going one way, and 120 Iron Ore / min going a separate way.

In the direction that the 240 Iron Ore/min is going, place your 6 Foundries. Set them all to produce Steel Ingots. Make sure you're also splitting your incoming Coal to go to each of the 6 Foundries, as well. The best way to input all resources into buildings is by using manifolds. Underclock one of the Foundries to 40% if you want pure efficiency.

Next, build four Constructors after the Foundries, and feed all of the Steel Ingots you are producing at the Foundries into the four Constructors, each making Steel Beams.

With all your Coal and 2/3 of your Iron Ore going to the Foundries, it's time to go back to the other 120 Iron Ore / min and put it to use. Build four Smelters each producing Iron Ingots, and connect your 120 Iron Ore / min to it using a splitter manifold. Split the outgoing Iron Ingots with 52.5 units / min going one way, and 67.5 units / min going the other way.

With the 52.5 Iron Ingots / min, place 4 Constructors all crafting Iron Rods, with one of them Underclocked to 50%. Send 22.5 Iron Rods / min to 3 more Constructors making Screws.

Switch back to the other 6.5 Iron Ingots you're producing, and have them all going into 3 Constructors building Iron Plates. Underclock one of these to 30% to be as efficient as possible.

Next, build 2 Assembler's, with one of them Underclocked to 50%. Set both of them to produce Reinforced Iron Plates, then feed them with your produced Iron Plates using a splitter manifold, and then feed all of the Screws you are producing into them as well.

After these two Assemblers, place another 3 Assemblers, and set one to Underclock at 50%. Set all of these to make Modular Frames. Now, use Splitter Manifolds to feed your Reinforced Iron Plates and the remaining 30 Iron Rods per minute that you are producing from earlier into the Modular Frame Assemblers.

Finally, create two new Assemblers both running at 100%, and set them to make your Versatile Framework. Use Splitter Manifolds to feed them the Modular Frames you just setup, as well as all the Steel Beams you setup earlier. Each of these two Assemblers will create 5 Versatile Framework per minute, giving you the total of 10 Versatile Framework per minute.

This is the most efficient setup for producing Versatile Framework in Satisfactory. It should be all you need, but if you want to produce more for any reason, simply create an identical factory to the one you just built. Just keep in mind this entire setup will consume about 350 MW of power, which can be a hefty amount until you get Oil Production going.+

Bandai Namco revealed today that the previous PlayStation Vita (yes, that Sony Handheld device) exclusive Action RPG Freedom Wars is celebrating its 10-year anniversary with Freedom Wars Remastered. The HD remaster will feature new and improved features from the Vita version including 4k resolution, 60 FPS, game balance and difficulty options, and updates to the weapon crafting and upgrading systems. Freedom Wars Remastered will be released in just a few months on January 10, 2025, on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=feD7epA4CBk

The premise of Freedom Wars is simple. In the harsh dystopic world, the game takes place in, your character has been sentenced to a 1,000,000-year prison sentence simply for being born. To work off your sentence, you must head out into the apocalyptic battlefield and take on colossal creatures called Abductors, killing them to lower your sentence and dismantling their body parts to craft and upgrade better equipment.

I put quite a few hours into the original release of Freedom Wars back on the Vita. In fact, it may have been one of my most played games on the platform, as it was one of the better ones. I'd even argue it was ahead of its time back in 2015, in what was essentially a sci-fi Monster Hunter meets Attack on Titan meets Sword Art Online.

There's even online co-op gameplay, and it's fun to team up with friends to take down some Abductors. I'm excited to see the updates to crafting and upgrading, as it could really streamline progression if done right. We'll know soon as enough as Freedom Wars Remastered launches on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on January 10, 2025. I certainly didn't see this coming, but I'm so glad that it is.

The latest update for Sol's RNG, titled Era 9, added a ton of new Auras to roll for, as well as a couple of new Items you can craft to increase your chances of getting your hands on the new Auras. The new update also added a new Biome that benefits your chances of rolling specific Auras, which is always helpful. Here are all the new Auras and Items in the Sol's RNG Era 9 Update.

All Sol's RNG Era 9 Auras

Sol's RNG is all about the Auras, and the Era 9 update adds 10 of them and an all-new mutation. The new Auras are spread out over all phases of the game, with Ash, Player, and Lost Soul being available in the early game, while late-game Auras such as Aegis and Apostolos have become available in Era 9 as well. Here are all of the new Auras in the Sol's RNG Era 9 Update and their chances:

  • Aegis - 1 in 825,000,000
  • Apostolos - 1 in 444,000,000
  • Ash - 1 in 2,300
  • Atlas - 1 in 90,000,000 (Increased chances in new Sandstorm biome)

  • Savior - 1 in 3,200,000

In addition to the 10 new Auras, there is also a new Mutation: Matrix: Overdrive. This Mutation has 1 in 503,000,000 odds, so it will certainly take some rolling and some luck to get it.

All New Items

There are two new craftable Items in Sol's RNG Era 9 update: The Hologrammer and the Ragnaroker. Both increase your Luck Bonus and Roll Speed Bonus, but the Hologrammer also gives you a chance to duplicate items. These are the two new items in Sol's RNG Era 9:

  • Hologrammer

    • + 395% Luck Bonus
    • + 35% Roll Speed Bonus
    • Chance to duplicate items

  • Ragnaroker

    • + 455% Luck Bonus (Additional 45% Luck if in the Window, Rainy, or Hell biomes)

In addition to the two new items, there is also a single new Biome, Sandstorm. The new Sandstorm Biome increases your chances of rolling three Auras: Atlas, Gilded, and Jackpot.

The final DLC for the action RPG souls-like Remnant 2 will take players into an all-new area of N'Erud, the sci-fi construct that was once home to the Drzyr as they searched the universe for sentient life, but instead found the center of the universe. Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon adds the drone-wielding Warden archetype, a massive sprawling new area of N'Erud, a new Prism system that essentially adds further end-game, and a new boss rush mode.

The Dark Horizon

I recently sat down with Ben Cureton, Principal Designer at Gunfire Games, and Cindy To, Principal Level Designer at Gunfire Games, to get a hands-off preview of everything new coming in the final DLC for Remnant 2, and wow is there a lot. For starters, even though I was expecting The Dark Horizon to take place on N'Erud, what I wasn't expecting is the massive size and verticality of the new overworld area coming in the DLC.

As they showed me the new area, To explained that a large portion of the new area takes place in the farming area of N'Erud, where the Drzyr used various types of machinery to cultivate and tend to their crops and food supply. The verticality reminded me of the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, where there are plenty of higher and lower elevation areas to explore.

To assist players with navigating the new area, a new mechanical glider will give players the freedom to glide around the map to traverse longer distances with ease. According to Ben and Cindy, this is the biggest area they've created for the DLC, and it certainly shows. Of course, the new area will delve more into the N'Erud-specific storyline, and feature a new world boss for players to take on.

Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon Warden Archetype

Attack of the Drone

The new Archetype in The Dark Horizon is the Warden, who comes equipped with a secret weapon: the Drone. Ben showed off the three different stances of the Drone, in which the automated companion can focus on regenerating your shields, healing you, or even attacking enemies. This makes the Drone extremely versatile and a potential boon for solo play, but also a powerful option in co-op.

By default, the Drone will automatically follow the player around. But you can "attach" it to an ally instead, in which the ally will use its skills to assist the target ally instead. The Warden's Trait, Barrier, increases the effectiveness of any shields the Warden applies. This means if you put the Drone on an ally and it replenishes your ally's shields, it will also replenish yours. As Ben put it, the Warden is a "Master of Shields", and Barrier is a game changer for any shield build.

I'm curious to see what sort of builds players much better than me will come up with, especially when mixed with some of the other unique Archetypes like Archon and Summoner.

Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon Prisms
Screenshot via Gunfire Games

Prisms - A new Grind

Also coming in The Dark Horizon is a new system called Prisms. Players can obtain Prisms through a variety of means such as buying them from NPCs, looting them off bosses, and a few other methods as well. Once you acquire a Prism, they gain experience when you do, allowing you to level them up. Once leveled, you can activate the prism and choose from one of three different stat bonuses that become a permanent addition to the Prism.

In total each Prism can have five stats, and once you've filled all five slots, leveling the Prism will grant upgrades to the five chosen stats. Using this system, you can try and build a Prism that synergizes with your build, such as defensive stats, offensive stats, utility, and more. Some stats can even unlock secret bonuses in which they pair up and merge into one, freeing up another slot for another stat. Once the Prism reaches the maximum level of 50, you can choose to wipe it clean and start from scratch.

It's an interesting new system that essentially adds another grind, to Remnant 2, which in my opinion was certainly needed. The great thing is, it's the stat bonuses from Prisms are supplemental. You can certainly complete all content in Remnant 2 without them, and even just throw together one that "works" for your build. But the option is also there for min-maxers to super grind out the perfect stats for on a Prism to fit their build, which adds a ton of replayability, making it a fine addition to the final DLC.

Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon Boss Rush Mode
Screenshot via Gunfire Games

Boss Rush - A New Mode for all Remnant 2 owners

The final addition with The Dark Horizon DLC actually doesn't necessarilly required the DLC to do. A new Boss Rush mode allows players to take their character into a "triple threat" randomly generated dungeon, killing hordes of enemies to spawn Aberrations. Once the player defeats the Aberration, they can then take on the world boss for the dungeon. Defeating the boss allows the player to choose one of three temporary buffs before heading into the next dungeon.

At the beginning of each Boss Rush attempt, players can choose to enter take on three, nine, or a staggering 27 bosses in order to successfully complete their Boss Rush run. Once the run ends, whether in defeat or victory, players receive a lot of XP as well as loot for every boss defeated including elusive drops and weapons.

Through the Boss Rush mode, players will have another option for farming gear they've been unable to get through their Story and Adventure mode runs. The hefty XP gains also compliments the new Prism system, giving players a fun new way to farm XP and level their Prisms. This new mode is available to all players without needing to purchase the new DLC. However, you won't be able to encounter DLC bosses in Boss Rush mode unless you own the DLC they are from.

All in all, this seems like a hefty final DLC for Remnant 2. All great things—and Remnant 2 is indeed great—must come to an end. But I can't think of no better finale for the action RPG. The new storyline and area could have been enough, but the addition of the new Prism system and Boss Rush mode will add even more replayability to Remnant 2, giving players plenty to do long after they complete the new content. Oh, and I also got to see one one of the new weapons in the DLC. I don't want to spoil anything, but I'll describe it in one word: badass.

Remnant 2: The Dark Horizon releases next week on September 24 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The Dark Horizon DLC will be $9.99, and is inlcuded in the Ultimate Edition which gives access to all three DLC packs. The major content update that adds the new Boss Rush mode also releases alongside the DLC.

With the release of Anime Vanguards, tower defense fans have the chance to defend their base with a variety of Dragon Ball Z-themed units. Like most Roblox tower defense games, there are tons of units but not much of an indication as to which ones are worth getting. We've put together this Anime Vanguards Tier List to show you which units you should try and get right away.

Anime Vanguards Tier List for all Units

With dozens of different units and evolutions in Anime Vanguards, it can be tricky to determine which units you should be going for. A good rule of thumb is the higher the rarity/quality, the better the unit. However, there are exceptions to this rule. Some Epic quality units are incredibly strong while some Legendary units are a bit on the weaker side.

The new S+ Tier is reserved for the three secret units in the game, Alucard, Haruka Rin, and Igros, as well as Song Jinwu and Chai-In. All three of these units are far above the rest, and you should aspire to have them in your lineup alongside an extra support unit like Sprintwagon.

The units we've put in the S Tier are the best units currently in Anime Vanguards and you should strive for long-term. Units in the A Tier are solid all around as well and will complete most content currently available. Units in the B tier are mostly Epic quality units, including Support units, which have their own unique strengths. Units in the C tier are very weak and other than starting units, should be replaced as soon as possible. This is our Anime Vanguards Tier List for all Units at launch:

S+ Tier

  • Alucard (Vampire King) (Secret)
  • Cha-In (Blade Dancer) (Mythic)
  • Haruka Rin (Dancer) (Secret)
  • Igros (Elite Knight) (Secret)
  • Song Jinwu (Monarch) (Mythic)

S Tier

  • Igros (Elite Knight) (Secret)
  • Obita (Awakened) (Mythic)
  • Norutu (Six Tails) (Mythic)
  • Sosuke (Storm) (Mythic)

A Tier

  • Alucard (Secret)
  • Cha-In (Mythic)
  • Goju (Mythic)
  • Haruka Rin (Secret)
  • Igros (Secret)
  • Kinaru (Legendary)
  • Norutu (Sage) (Mythic)
  • Obita (Mythic)
  • Song Jinwu (Mythic)
  • Sosuke (Hebi) (Mythic)
  • Vogita Super (Mythic)

B Tier

  • Agony (Legendary)
  • Alligator (Epic)
  • Gaari (Epic)
  • Genas (Epic)
  • Genitsu (Epic)
  • Goi (Legendary)
  • Grim Wow (Legendary)
  • Itochi (Legendary)
  • Kinaru (Legendary)
  • Kinnua (Epic)
  • Kokashi (Epic)
  • Pickleo (Epic)
  • Roku (Dark) (Legendary)
  • Shinzi (Epic)
  • Sprintwagon (Epic)

C Tier

  • Ichiga (Rare)
  • Inosake (Epic)
  • Joe (Rare)
  • Jon (Rare)
  • Luffo (Rare)
  • Norutu (Rare)
  • Roku (Rare)
  • Rukio (Rare)
  • Sanjo (Rare)
  • Sosuke (Rare)
  • Vogita (Rare)

Strategically, you'll want to target getting each Legendary unit via Summons, but regardless of your RNG you can target farm the secret units Alucard, Igros, and Haruka Rin. You'll want to do this as soon as you unlock the ability to do so, as they are the strongest units on this tier list for a reason and can make all aspects of the game, Story, Challenge, and Raids much easier.

For most Mythic and Secret quality units in Anime Vanguards, their base unit is extremely powerful and worth getting. As such, you'll see most of them in the A Tier. However, if you're able to upgrade and evolve them into their final form, they become even more powerful, in most cases moving them into the S Tier. This tier list now includes all units currently in Anime Vanguards at the time of launch.

Stellaris: Cosmic Storms makes the galaxy even more beautiful https://www.destructoid.com/stellaris-cosmic-storms-makes-the-galaxy-even-more-beautiful/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=stellaris-cosmic-storms-makes-the-galaxy-even-more-beautiful https://www.destructoid.com/stellaris-cosmic-storms-makes-the-galaxy-even-more-beautiful/#respond Sun, 15 Sep 2024 22:53:00 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=598152 Stellaris Cosmic Storms Impressions

It's hard to believe we've had 8 years of Stellaris, but it's true. Since releasing back in 2016, Stellaris has nine core expansions, a single narrative expansion (Astral Planes), and about a dozen content packs including story-specific content and new playable species. The newest expansion, Stellaris: Cosmic Storms, adds new dynamic Cosmic Storms that affect gameplay, a new Origin, Storm Chasers, 3 new Civics, and some new technologies built around the new storm mechanic. Through and through, it's more Stellaris, which is always a good thing.

Into the Eye

As the title of the expansion would suggest, Stellaris: Cosmic Storms' main big new feature are its new dynamic cosmic storms. There are eight unique storms in total: Electric, Particle, Gravity, Magnetic, Radiant, Stardust, Shroud, and Nexus. These storms completely replace the old existing Space Storms, which were rather inconsequential in their former structure.

Let me start by saying, each of these storms are absolutely stunning graphically. Most of them add a swirling particle effect of colors that really light up entire systems, often with chaotic flashes of lightning and other cosmic explosions throughout the storm as it circles an area.

Each storm has a general effect that affects your systems in the storm, regardless of the actual storm type: +0.2Monthly Devastation to your planets and increased Emergency FTL Damage Risk, but then there is a slew of other pros and cons based on which of the eight storms it is. For example, a Magnetic Storm increases station and ship upkeep but reduces Metallurgist Upkeep.

As you can imagine, depending on where the storm hits, what sort of empire you're building, and what stage of the game you're in, the storm can be a huge headache, a nice buff, or rather meaningless. In the end, I think that the biggest issue I have with the storms, is depending on when and where they hit really changes how big of a deal they actually are, but of course, that's the intent.

An all-new ascension perk, called Galactic Weather Control, allows you to generate Cosmic Storms manually using your Science Ships. This can be a pretty big boon if you have cloaking technology researched and placed on your Science Ships, because you can cloak into enemy territory and start generating some destructive storms.

One of the biggest problems with the storms is their duration. In most cases by the time I start to move things around to try and optimize the impact of them hitting, the storm ends and I'm just left with the aftermath effects, not the meaningful modifiers that existed why they were raging on. I get wanting the storms to have a more randomized and unpredictable effect, but I feel like there needs to be a bit of a balancing act between their randomness and being able to capitalize on them.

Stellaris Cosmic Storms Impressions 3
Screenshot by Destructoid

I have a feeling we're not in Kansas anymore

Anytime I see a new Stellaris expansion get announced, I quickly look to make sure there's a new Origin I can look forward to trying it. In Cosmic Storms, Storm Chasers is that new origin. Traditionally speaking in Stellaris, some Origins are big gameplay changers, paving the way for unique builds that can really add some new build potential. Others, however, are more story-focused or even just provide some unique mechanic that add a new element of gameplay to the core Stellaris experience.

I'm no min-max expert at Stellaris, but the Storm Chasers origin feels like more of a flavorful narrative origin than one of the game-changing options. Going with Storm Chasers gives you a weather map overlay to track cosmic storms, as well as see their effects. As you advance through technology, the map improves, eventually even showing you forecasts so you know when and where storms will hit certain systems. You become a galactic meteorologist, essentially.

You also get a few storm-focused benefits like an increased chance for storms to spawn in your borders, a higher chance of getting storm-related research options, and more unity per storm building that you build. However, being a fearless Storm Chaser also results in a shorter lifespan for your leaders, and they are less effective in council positions. In return, your entire species gets a trait called Storm Touched, which adds 10% of resources from Jobs, and reduces Amenity usage by 10%. The benefit certainly outweighs the negative, but it's certainly no game-changer like Clone Army, Necrophage, or Progenitor Hive.

It's a cool origin option if you really want to have some insight into the new Cosmic Storms as they work their way across the galaxy, but the benefits pale in comparison to some other origins, which is why I think this is more of a fun option than an impactful one. Storm Chasers almost feels like an origin dedicated to going, "Hey, let's go full-fledged into seeing what's new with these storms."

Riding the galactic waves

In the end, Stellaris: Cosmic Storms is a very unique DLC, for better and worse. The new storms certainly add a new element that you'll have to learn and adapt to while playing. But in a lot of ways it ends up just adding some more difficulty, and in some cases tedium. For veteran players, I imagine the added difficulty will be appealing to shake up the game, but at the same time, I can't help but wonder if some players will simply opt to disable this DLC unless they really want to do a playthrough with the storms enabled.

The beautiful visuals of the storms single-handedly elevate the Stellaris experience, and I can see some real potential from the new storm system if Paradox continues to build on and expand it, adding more opportunities to earn rewards for properly handling the storms or even making it a more streamlined risk/reward system. But in its current form, Cosmic Storms falls a bit short of being a "must-have" Stellaris expansion like Utopia, or Apocalypse. That being said if you're like me and just always want more Stellaris, there are plenty of entertaining layers in Cosmic Storms to make it a worthwhile addition to your the best grand strategy space game on the market.

[These impressions are based on a retail build of the game provided by the publisher.]

Best Rotor Layout in Satisfactory https://www.destructoid.com/best-rotor-layout-in-satisfactory/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=best-rotor-layout-in-satisfactory https://www.destructoid.com/best-rotor-layout-in-satisfactory/#respond Thu, 12 Sep 2024 22:26:06 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=596778 Best Rotor Layout in Satisfactory

In Satisfactory, the Rotor item quickly becomes a staple component used in plenty of recipes, building constructions, and Milestone Upgrades all the way from the early game extending into the end game. Here is the best Rotor Layout in Satisfactory that you can use early on to get your Rotor production up to speed fast.

Best Rotor Layout and Blueprint

While most of the items and components you will create in the early game of Satisfactory can be quickly set up and even manually crafted, you're going to want an actual factory to handle the production of your Rotors. The best Rotor layout will produce 10 Rotors per minute for each instance of the factory you build. First, let's go over everything you will build so you know the upfront material costs required to build this Rotor Layout:

  • At least 112.5 incoming Iron Ore per minute
  • 4 Smelters producing Iron Ingots
  • 8 Constructors producing Iron Rods
  • 7 Constructors producing Screws
  • 3 Assemblers producing Rotors
  • 1 Storage Container for storing Rotors

All of the incoming Iron Ore will feed into the Smelters crafting Iron Ingots, which will all be turned into Iron Rods. From there, the Iron Rods will split, allocating some of them for producing Screws, while sending the rest to the Assemblers at the end of your factory. At the Assemblers, your Screws and Iron Rods are turned into Rotors.

How to build the best Rotor Factory in Satisfactory

Start your Rotor Factory by building a 9-wide and 13-long area of foundations which will be the ground floor for your factory. For the rest of the way, imagine the layout of your factory like a spreadsheet or table when placing each building. Here are all the steps for building this massive Rotor Layout Factory and start producing 10 Rotors per minute:

  1. Build a 9-wide and 13-long area of foundations which is the ground floor.
  2. Construct your four Smelters in the second row, in the 2nd, 4th, 6th, and 8th column. Set them to craft Iron Ingots.
  3. Build your manifold feed line by plating four Conveyor Splitters, one in front of each of the Smelters but in the center of the first row. Each of these should be inputted from the right of your factory, but split to the left and forward.
  4. Place a Splitter in front of each of the Smelters, centers in row 3, inputting directly from each of the Smelters.
  5. Build 8 Constructors in Row 4, starting with the first column and going all the way through the 8th column, with the last Constructor in front of your right-most Splitter. Set these all to craft Iron Rods.
  6. Connect your Splitters with each of your Constructors, with each Splitter feeding two Constructors. Your Conveyor Belts should go from each splitter to the Constructor in front of it, and then out the left side into the Constructor in the column to the left.
  7. In front of the first three Iron Rod Constructors, build a centered Conveyor Merger in Row 5. Point the output of the Merger in the first column aimed forward, and for the second and third column, aimed to the left. Next, build a Conveyor Splitter in front of the fourth Iron Rod Constructor, inputting from it. Connect the first four Constructors using Conveyor Belts, and then run belts connecting the Splitter and three Mergers, all going to the left feeding into the left most Merger.
  8. For the last for Iron Rod Constructors, place Conveyor Mergers in Row 5. The Mergers in column 5, 6, and 7 should all be feeding to the right, with the final Conveyor Merger in front of the right most Constructor feeding forward. Connect them all with Conveyor Belts feeding into the right-most Conveyor Merger.
  9. Go back to the only Conveyor Splitter in Row 5, located in Column 4. Place a Conveyor Belt connecting from the right of this Splitter into the Conveyor Merger on the right in Column 5, and then again from the forward-facing split into the top-most input on the Conveyor Merger in Column 5. Look at the above screenshot for details if this is confusing, to see how Row 5 should be set up.
  10. Place down 6 Conveyor Splitters in Row 6, in Columns 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. The Splitter in Column 8 should be fed from the Conveyor Merger in Row 5, while all the others should be feeding to the left. Connect all of these with Conveyor Belts going to the left. As soon as you're able, upgrade the Conveyor Belt connecting the Merger in Row 5 to the Splitter in Row 6 to Tier 2.
  11. Construct 7 new Constructors in Row 7, starting in Column 2 and going through Column 8. All of these should be set to create Screws. If you have Underclocking unlocked, set the right-most Constructor to 25% Clock Speed producing only 10 per minute to help with bottlenecking. Connect all the splitters in Row 6 to the Constructors in Row 7.
  12. In Row 8, Column 3, place a Conveyor Merger feeding forward, then connect the first two Screw Constructors to it. In Column 4, place a Splitter feeding in from the Screw Constructor in front of it, and then another forward-facing Constructer Merger in Column 5. Connect the Constructers to the Merger/Splitter in front of it, as well as connect belts between each output side of the Splitter into the Merger beside it. Connect the third Screw Constructor from the right into the Merger to the left of it as well. Finally, in Column 7, put a forward-facing Conveyor Merger, then connect the two right-most Constructors to it.
  13. It's finally time to put down our Rotor Assemblers. Put all of these in the Row 10 region. Place the first one so that the leftmost input is lined up with the left-most Merger in Row 8. To the right of that, put down an Assembler where the right-most input lines up with the Merger in Row 8 that is to the right of the Splitter. Place the third and final Assembler so that the rightmost input lines up with the right-most Merger in Row 8. Connect them all with conveyor belts.
  14. Place a Conveyor Splitter on top of each of the three Conveyor Mergers in Row 8, feeding from the left. Connect the forward facing output of each of these splitters to the left-input of each of the three Assemblers in front of them. Connect the Splitters with belts, and then connect the left-most Merger from Row 5, feeding into the left-most splitter you just created in Row 8.
  15. Make sure all the Assemblers are set to make Rotors, and as soon as you unlock Underclocking, set the right-most Assembler to 50% which will produce 2 Rotors per minute.
  16. Place a right-facing Conveyor Merger after the second and third Assemblers, then run a Conveyor Belt from the first Assembler into the left of the first Merger, then a belt connecting the first Merger to the second one to the right of it.
  17. Finally, to the right of the Merger, place a Storage Container and connect it with a belt, so all of your Rotors will be sent into that Storage Container.

All that's left to do is power your factory then feed the Iron Ore into it, and voila, with this best Rotor layout in Satisfactory, you'll be producing 10 Rotors per minute, fully automated!

Planet Coaster 2 enters the splash zone with the addition of water parks https://www.destructoid.com/planet-coaster-2-enters-the-splash-zone-with-the-addition-of-water-parks/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=planet-coaster-2-enters-the-splash-zone-with-the-addition-of-water-parks https://www.destructoid.com/planet-coaster-2-enters-the-splash-zone-with-the-addition-of-water-parks/#respond Thu, 12 Sep 2024 15:00:00 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=595738 Planet Coaster Preview

Just shy of eight years after the release of Planet Coaster, developer Frontier Developments is looking to build upon the ultimate amusement park-building experience with a sequel. Frontier recently invited me to spend about an hour and a half hands-on diving into some park building in Planet Coaster 2, and I'm very excited about the direction in which the theme park sim appears to be heading.

Pack your bathing suit

The first part of the preview dropped me into a Scenario that I was told is about midway through the reworked Career mode in Planet Coaster 2. My inherited park was split into two separate partitions, and it's my job to essentially build a water park in one of them. I knew that water parks were the big draw of the sequel, but I was afraid it would just be the addition of some simple water-themed rides. I'm happy to report, that's not the case.

While there are in fact some new water-based flat rides, the main new feature here is being able to build your own beaches and pools. There are a few pre-made pools you can build, but you can also free-form build your own, shaping the size and the depth of the water. Aside from looks, this also impacts how you can further interact with the pools you build.

Several new rides also interact directly with the pools you build. You have the option of keeping your pool as its own attraction in itself, be it a simple swimming pool, a wave pool, or even building out a lazy river for your guests to wade around the park, but you also have the option of integrating rides with the pool. New attraction options include water slides and flumes, with the opportunity to build your own custom creations, dumping your visitors into your pools at the end of the ride.

Instead of taking the easy route and just throwing in some simple new rides, Frontier has added in-depth and fleshed-out systems that allow you to get creative and build some impressive water parks. The great thing is, it's up to you if you want to make the water park section of your amusement park its own thing, or you can integrate it alongside your standard coaster park.

Putting the THEME in Theme Park

Even though I only have about 50 hours in the original Planet Coaster—very casual numbers to the park-building aficionados—I immediately realized there are a handful of major quality-of-life improvements in the sequel. A very divisive task in the park-building world, the placement of queues and paths, has been fleshed out and optimized, making the process of wrapping your queues around the limited space in your park much easier than I remember in the original.

New themes have been added when building parks, giving players plenty of options for designing thematic sections of their park including the Resort, Aquatic, Viking, and Mythological themes. The custom pools you build can also integrate the new themes and props, allowing you to create uniquely themed sections of your park, just like you'd see at Disney World.

For the real park-building pros who like to add all the nitty gritty details, a new event sequence tool allows players to perfectly time and execute mesmerizing effects to further bring rides and the park itself to life. Some of the creations from the original Planet Coaster we absolutely insane, and I can't wait to see what players who take the time to master all the new systems in Planet Coaster 2 will be able to come up with.

A little more management

My only issue with the newer simulation titles including Planet Coaster, Planet Zoo, and Jurassic World Evolution is that the management options feel a bit thin. I didn't get to see all the new aspects of Planet Coaster in that regard, but what I did see was certain improvements to the management features available.

I spoke with Planet Coaster 2 Senior Executive Producer Adam Woods and Game Director Richard Newbold about this exact thing, and they assured me that improving the actual management aspect of your park was a big focus when developing the sequel. First and foremost, an entire narrative aspect has been implemented alongside the Career Mode, with fully voiced characters.

As you progress through the Career Mode you'll be presented with challenges on how to tackle each scenario, earning starts for completing various challenges. As you accrue more stars, you can access more scenarios.

But even on a base level, more management options are present in Planet Coaster 2. There are more staff to hire, more management-related buildings to build, and services to maintain. Players will have to build power generators and setup a power grid to keep their park running. Any attractions or pools will need to be properly maintained, and cleaned, as well as provided with a source of water via water pumps.

Planet Coaster 2 is set to launch on November 6, 2024 on PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S at a price point of $49.99. A Deluxe Edition is also available for $64.99 which comes with the Vintage Funfair Ride Pack. This pack features a collection of 10 vintage attractions including a nostalgic Grand Carousel and some traditional wooden coasters.

Microsoft lays off another 650 employees from Xbox gaming division https://www.destructoid.com/microsoft-lays-off-another-650-employees-from-xbox-gaming-division/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=microsoft-lays-off-another-650-employees-from-xbox-gaming-division https://www.destructoid.com/microsoft-lays-off-another-650-employees-from-xbox-gaming-division/#respond Thu, 12 Sep 2024 12:04:09 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=596343 Xbox logo for server status page

Layoffs continue at Microsoft as the company has cut another 650 jobs today, according to an internal memo from Head of Xbox Phil Spencer that was acquired by The Verge. Not even eight months ago Microsoft laid off 1,900 employees from Activision Blizzard and Xbox, bringing the total number of jobs lost across Microsoft's Gaming Division to over 2,500 in 2024 alone.

According to Spencer, the cuts are part of "aligning our post-acquisition team structure and managing our business", with the post-acquisition referring to the $68.7 billion deal to purchase Activision Blizzard that was completed late last year. Spencer also went on to point out that "no games, devices, or experiences are being canceled" as part of today's round of layoffs, and no studios are being closed.

Here is Phil Spencer's full internal memo sent to employees today according to The Verge:

For the past year, our goal has been to minimize disruption while welcoming new teams and enabling them to do their best work. As part of aligning our post-acquisition team structure and managing our business, we have made the decision to eliminate approximately 650 roles across Microsoft Gaming — mostly corporate and supporting functions — to organize our business for long term success.

I know that this is difficult news to hear. We are deeply grateful for the contributions of our colleagues who are learning they are impacted. In the US, we’re supporting them with exit packages that include severance, extended healthcare, and outplacement services to help with their transition; outside the US packages will differ according to location.

With these changes, our corporate and supporting teams and resources are aligned for sustainable future growth, and can better support our studio teams and business units with programs and resources that can scale to meet their needs. Separately, as part of running the business, there are some impacts to other teams as they adapt to shifting priorities and manage the lifecycle and performance of games. No games, devices or experiences are being cancelled and no studios are being closed as part of these adjustments today.

Throughout our team’s history, we have had great moments, and we have had challenging ones. Today is one of the challenging days. I know that going through more changes like this is hard, but even in the most trying times, this team has been able to come together and show one another care and kindness as we work to continue delivering for our players. We appreciate your support as we navigate these changes and we thank you for your compassion and respect for each other.

- Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox

The final story stage in Anime Vanguards culminates in a boss fight against the God Statue on Wave 15. You'll notice that when the God Statue spawns, you can't actually seem to deal damage to it. Here is how to actually damage and beat the God Statue boss in Anime Vanguards.

How to Kill the God Statue in Anime Vanguards
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to Damage and Defeat the God Statue

In order to actually deal damage to the God Statue and therefore kill it, you first need to kill four statues around the outskirts of the Double Dungeon Disaster stage that come to life once the final stage starts and the God Statue spawns. If you look around the circular room in which the stage takes place, you'll notice a series of stone statues. Once the God Statue spawns, a random selection of four of these statues will come to life and become active, as visible by their red eyes. You'll also notice the God Statue's health bar has the indicator 4/4 at the end, indicating four of the statues are still active.

Simply place units next to the statues that are in range to damage them, and they will start doing so. Thankfully, the God Statue moves very slowly across the stage, so you can typically throw town enough units to take out all four towers before the God Statue makes it through the first part of the stage. Just make sure you have enough Gold ready to place up to four units to reach all four statues in case the ones that activate are not near each other.

After defeating all four statues, you will be able to finally damage the God Statue. As with the other bosses, stuns will be sent out across the stage periodically, so it's nice to have some units placed in different spots to bait out the stunning area of effect. Once you've depleted the now damageable health bar of the God Statue, you will beat it and complete the stage.

Keep in mind if you trying to get the Secret Unit Igris, you will have to release this strategy as the Legend Stage for Igris is also on the Double Dungeon Disaster map that has the God Statue.

How to get and use Igris in Anime Vanguards https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-and-use-igris-in-anime-vanguards/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=how-to-get-and-use-igris-in-anime-vanguards https://www.destructoid.com/how-to-get-and-use-igris-in-anime-vanguards/#respond Wed, 11 Sep 2024 02:10:28 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=594884 How to get and use Igris in Anime Vanguards

In Anime Vanguards, Igris, also known as Igros or his evolved form, Igris the Elite Knight, is one of the strongest units in the entire game. Up there with Alucard the Vampire King, Igris has the potential to trivialize most of the content in the tower defense. Here is how to get Igros in Anime Vanguards and the best way to make use of the unit.

How to get Igris in Anime Vanguards

To get Igris in Anime Vanguards, you will need to farm him by completing Act 3 of the Double Dungeon Legend Stage. To do this, you must complete a series of steps, starting with completing the 6 story missions for each of the 3 stages. Once you complete all three story stages, you'll unlock Legend Stages. To navigate to them, click the Legend Stages box at the bottom next to the Story box when choosing a mission. There are currently two Legend Stages: Sand Village, and Double Dungeon. You need to clear the levels for Sand Village and then the first two acts of Double Dungeon to unlock the third act titled Double Dungeon Disaster. It's recommended that you are at least Level 20 to complete the Legend Stages.

Once you unlock Double Dungeon Disaster, you need to complete the stage. Upon doing so you will have a 0.75% chance of receiving the secret unit Igris. As you can imagine, unless you are extremely lucky, this will require a serious amount of clears on Double Dungeon Disaster to unlock Igris. If you have average luck, this will take about 134 runs. However, because it is simply based on chance, it could take you one clear or hundreds.

You can unlock Igris in Anime Vanguards by following these steps:

  1. Complete all 18 normal story stages, 6 for each act.
  2. Clear all the levels of Sand Village and the first 2 Acts for the Double Dungeon Legend Stage.
  3. Successfully clear Act 3, Double Dungeon Disaster, for a 0.75% chance to receive Igris.
  4. If you get the drop, congratulations! If not, you will need to continuously repeat Step 3 until you do.

Best way to use Igris

The best way to use Igris in Anime Vanguards is to level him up and then evolve him into his Igris (Elite Knight) form. This is an extremely powerful unit, arguably the most powerful in the entire game. With this powerful unit, you can start to farm the Gems needed to start gathering the rest of your Summons and leveling them accordingly.

You can also start to farm for the other secret unit, Alucard, which can be very complimentary to Igris. With the two of them and a few solid support units such as Sprintwagon or Alligator, you can really dominate most of the Infinite Stages with the use of Igris.

Alternate Recipe Tier List

The goal of this Satisfactory Alternate Recipe Tier List is to help you decide which Alternate Recipes you should choose when discovering new Hard Drives. Some of these Alternate Recipes are complete game changers and will make your factories much more efficient, while others are simply not even worth using unless you have an extreme overabundance of a specific resource.

The Alternate Recipes in the S Tier are the absolute best recipes in the game and will literally streamline certain supply chains. Recipes in the A Tier are also very worthwhile and will provide you with efficient options to make certain goods more easily. The Alternate Recipes in the B Tier often provide solid alternatives that will often be worthwhile to grab, while those in the C Tier might have specific scenarios in which you will want to switch to them as opposed to their default recipe. Finally, Alternate Recipes in the D Tier aren't really worth using unless you're extremely short in supply on some of the default recipe resources while those in the F Tier are not worth using under any circumstance as they are often net negatives in terms of resource usage.

With the start of WoW: The War Within Season 1, 8 new dungeons officially become part of the seasonal rotation for Mythic+ content. As with every expansion, these 8 dungeons will rotate with each season. Here is the full World of Warcraft: The War Within Season 1 Dungeons rotation you can look forward to running with the start of the new season.

All 8 The War Within Season 1 Dungeons

As with every new season in World of Warcraft, Season 1 of The War Within will feature eight dungeons as part of its seasonal rotation. Season 1 continues with the new seasonal cadence of four current expansion-specific dungeons, and four dungeons from previous expansion. The complete Season 1 rotation features 4 The War Within dungeons, 1 Cataclysm dungeon, 1 Battle for Azeroth dungeon, and 2 Shadowlands dungeons. Here are all 8 The War Within Season 1 dungeons:

  • Ara-Kara, City of Echoes (The War Within)
  • City of Threads (The War Within)
  • Grim Batol (Cataclysm)
  • Mists of Tirna Scithe (Shadowlands)
  • Siege of Boralus (Battle for Azeroth)
  • The Dawnbreaker (The War Within)
  • The Necrotic Wake (Shadowlands)
  • The Stonevault (The War Within)

This means that looking to the future, Season 2 of The War Within will feature The Rookery, Priory of the Sacred Flame, Cinderbrew Meadery, Darkflame Cleft, and four other dungeons from previous WoW expansions.

What are the M+ affixes in The War Within Season 1?

With WoW The War Within, Blizzard once again changed how the seasonal M+ affixes work. For starters, each weak all M+ keys will start with one of four Xal'atah's Bargains, rotating each week. The four Xal'atath's Bargain affixes are:

  • Xal'atath's Bargain: Ascendant - Ten orbs appear every minute while in combat that must be interrupted, purged, knocked, or crowd controlled.
  • Xal'atath's Bargain: Devour - Players are periodically afflicted with a heal absorb while in combat.
  • Xal'atath's Bargain: Oblivion - Crystals spawn and move toward an enemy while in combat.
  • Xal'atath's Bargain: Voidbound - Void Emissary spawns while players are in combat and buffs enemies.

Once you reach +4 for the key, either Foritifed or Tyrannical is applied. Then, at +7, Challenger's Peril becomes active which causes deaths to cost 3x more time. This means a death will remove 15 seconds from your timer, as opposed to 5 seconds. At +10, the other affix that wasn't applied at +4 becomes active, meaning both Fortified and Tyrannical are now enabled. Finally, at +12, Xal'atath's Guile activates, which removes all benefits from Xal'ath's Bargains, and increases all enemies HP and damage by 20%.

Nearly five years after its Early Access release, Satisfactory has finally reached its official 1.0 release. Whether you're a long-term player returning for the full release, or a beginner just starting your factory-building adventure, you're going to want to pick the best place to start building your factory. Here is the best starting location in Satisfactory 1.0 to give you the strongest advantages to building your factory.

Best place to start in Satisfactory 1.0

The best starting location in Satisfactory 1.0 is the Rocky Desert. When you first create a new world in Satisfactory, you may notice it recommends the Grass Fields as an easy starting location. However, this is a bit misleading if you're looking for the actual best location. While the Grass Fields is a decent starting spot if you're new to the game due to having a lot of ore nodes in a wide open area, most of the nodes in the Grass Fields are actually Impure or Normal quality nodes, which aren't ideal.

Meanwhile, the Rocky Desert was considered one of the best starting locations all throughout Early Access and was actually made even better with the Satisfactory 1.0 release due to the addition of four new Coal Nodes northwest of the starting area. With these easy-to-access Coal Nodes, you can get your coal power production up even quicker and more easily and can utilize the previously existing coal nodes to the east and northeast to ramp up your Steel Production.

Also, most of the nodes found throughout the Rocky Desert are quality Pure Nodes, and the space around them is flat and vast giving you plenty of opportunity to build sprawling factories as you climb through the tiers.

All Satisfactory 1.0 starting locations ranked

In case there's some reason you just don't want to start in the Rocky Desert, or are simply trying to decide the best alternative starting location for your Satisfactory 1.0 run, we've ranked all four of the potential starting locations based on their overall potential. Here are all four Satisfactory 1.0 starting locations ranked:

  1. Rocky Desert
  2. Northern Forest
  3. Dune Desert
  4. Grass Fields

The Northern Forest is a solid backup option to the Rocky Desert, but both the Dune Desert and Grass Fields are overall less effective starting locations. If you want a challenge or simply enjoy the scenery they offer, you can of course still play through Satisfactory without issue at these starting locations. But in terms of overall best options, you'll want to stick with Rocky Desert or even Northern Forest.

Riot revealed today that popular auto battler Teamfight Tactics will receive its second every set revival with Teamfight Tactics Revival: Dawn of Heroes, a limited game mode that refreshes and modernizes the set from three years ago. The revival version of the Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes set will feature an all-new progression system as well. Teamfight Tactics Revival: Dawn of Heroes goes live on September 25, 2024.

This is just the second set revival Riot has done for Teamfight Tactics, with the Set 3.5 Revival: Galaxies launching earlier this year. The set revival is a temporary game mode in which Teamfight Tactics champions and traits from the Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes set from 2021 are revamped to fit with today's version of TFT.

Also coming with this new set revival is a new ladder progression system, where players can unlock new ranks and rewards based on how they play the new TFT Revival game mode. Also, even though augments didn't exist back when Reckoning: Dawn of Heroes released—they are now a staple part of TFT gameplay—new augments have been created to specifically work with the set revival. New augments include The Monstrous Chopper, an Abomination trait-focused augment where the Monstrosity from the trait equips an ax to do additional cleave damage, as well as Death Approaches, which allows Thresh to hook himself to the farthest enemy and do additional damage on his next attack.

Players interested in checking out the Teamfight Tactics Revival: Dawn of Heroes limited-time game mode will be able to do so on both PC and mobile when TFTPatch 14.19 drops on September 25, 2024. The limited-time set will last through patch 14.21 which releases on November 4, 2024.

The latest Anime Defenders Update 5.5 added some new units to the tower defense game and underwent a balance revamp for a lot of existing units. This changes up the meta pretty heavily, which is why we created an Anime Defenders Tier List for all Units.

Anime Defenders Tier List

In Anime Defenders there are now over 70 unique units with over 200 total variations when you include all of the Evolved and Shiny units. While each unit may have specific strengths on a specific map or against certain modifiers, this tier list is as a whole.

As such, units in our S Tier are the best and can handle most if not all types of content effectively. These are the units you want to strive for. Units in the A Tier are also strong options and will in most cases be able to successfully clear most content, they just aren't as strong or versatile as those in S Tier. Units in the B Tier have specific situations in which they shine, but may not be as universally effective. Units in the C Tier have evolved or shiny variants that make them strong enough to consider, while those in the D Tier are solid if you have no better options, but should be replaced as soon as possible with higher tier units.

Any units not in this tier list are simply not strong enough at the moment to be considered for a permanent spot in your lineup. Here is our Anime Defenders Tier List for Update 5.5:

The newest season of Fortnite changed up the locations of all the Shadow Briefings, which have become a crucial part of the shooter. You're able to take on challenges to earn bonus XP and rewards for completing the Shadow Briefing mission in time. Here's where you can find all of the Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 5 Season 4.

Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 5 Season 4

In Chapter 5 Season 4, there are 26 total Shadow Briefing spawn locations in Fortnite. It's important to keep in mind that the Shadow Briefing terminal won't spawn at all of these locations each match. Instead, a handful of these locations, typically about 10, will spawn the Shadow Briefing terminals, in a rotation that randomizes each time. It's typically helpful to keep the map up so each match you can look in nearby areas until you learn where they can all spawn. Here are all the Fortnite Shadow Briefing Locations in Chapter 5 Season 4:

  • Northeast of Rebel's Roost
  • Catcher's Cove
  • Doom's Courtyard
  • Latverian Station
  • Castle Doom
  • The Ol' Mill
  • Doomstadt
  • Grim Gate
  • North of Charon's Crossing
  • Restored REels
  • Reckless Railways
  • Grand Glacier
  • Dumpenhausen
  • The Raft
  • Southeast of The Raft
  • Coastal Columns
  • Ship It! Station
  • Sandy Strip
  • Nitrodome
  • The Wreckmill
  • Pantheon Path
  • Southwest of Pantheon Path
  • Brawler's Battleground
  • Research Rock

You can also check the map above to see all the locations as is indicated by the yellow X's. There are several quests tied to the locations of the Shadow Briefings, so make sure you do them before the locations once again change with the start of the new season. They are typically scattered across the map, so usually, you can find one in close proximity regardless of where you drop, but because of the randomization that's never guaranteed.

Lethal Company Version 64 Patch Notes – The Bag Patch https://www.destructoid.com/lethal-company-version-64-patch-notes-the-bag-patch/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=lethal-company-version-64-patch-notes-the-bag-patch https://www.destructoid.com/lethal-company-version-64-patch-notes-the-bag-patch/#respond Thu, 05 Sep 2024 05:43:53 +0000 https://www.destructoid.com/?p=591585 Lethal Company Version 64 Patch Notes

Lethal Company developer Zeekerss released the Patch Notes and update for Version 64 of the popular survival game today, indicating that while the patch is a smaller one, he wanted to get it out as soon as possible because it has a couple of nice features. Here are all the details we know about about Lethal Company Version 64 and the Patch Notes for the update titled The Bag Patch.

Lethal Company Update 64 Patch Notes

Compared to previous updates, Version 64 for Lethal Company is a rather small update. However, as Zeekerss mentioned, it does have some pretty important additions such as a new item, a new rare weather event, and a ton of bug fixes. According to Zeekerss, he's been spending a lot of time working on another project, titled Welcome to the Dark Place, with hopes of finishing it soon.

The last two versions were mostly bug fixes, and so is Version 64, but with at least two new pieces of content, it's a great update for Lethal Company fans to get back into it. Here are the full Lethal Company Version 64 Patch Notes, for the update titled The Bag Patch:

  • New Tactical Belt Bag - The tactical belt bag can now be bought from the terminal. It holds 15 non-scrap items and can be accessed by other players while it's around your waist. Use "INFO" to learn more about it.
  • Rare Weather Event - A new, rare 0.6% chance weather event can now occur on any day at a random time.
  • Bug Fixes - A few bug fixes.

While Zeekerss didn't go into detail about the bug fixes, it's typically changes that overall improve the quality of the game by fixing the rare bug or issue that may occur when playing Lethal Company. The Version 64 update is live now on PC via Steam.

In turn-based mythological RPG Dislyte, there are many characters each receiving constant balance changes with each update. Called Espers, these mythical superheroes each have unique powers and builds that allow them to shine in either PvE or PvP situations. We've put together this Dislyte Tier List of Characters so you know which Espers you should go for.

Dislyte Tier List

With over 80 characters in total, Dislyte now has plenty of options in terms of which Espers to use across all four of the different factions. While some characters might have specific situations in which they shine, such as Story, Cube, Temporal Tower, Point War, and more, this Tier List focuses on the overall strength of each Esper as a whole.

As such, characters in the S Tier can compete in many game mode types, while those in the A Tier excel in just one or two. There are a series of quest chains in Hallowfall that result in you receiving a Wooden Figure, an object with no easily discernible use or purpose. However, it's actually used as part of another quest, and ultimately part of the Lost and Found achievement. Here is where to find and turn in the Wooden Figure in WoW The War Within.

How to get the Wooden Figure in WoW The War Within
Screenshot by Destructoid

How to get the Wooden Figure

You will receive the Wooden Figure item as a quest reward for completing the Time Borrowed quest from Maera Ashyld in Hallowfall. In fact, she will give you three items: a Calcified Journal, a Wooden Figure, and a Sturdy Locket. All of these items pertain to various local quests that will earn you the Lost and Found achievement.

In order to pick up the Time Borrowed quest, you will need to complete the Memories of the Sky quest chain with Maera Ashyld, which is unfortunately locked behind two weekly reset timegates. This means the first time you can actually pick up and do the Time Borrowed quest is on September 3, 2024, as long as you have been completing all the previous quests each week you can.

Next, you need to get 6 Mementos for Maera by farming the mobs around the area. Once you've gotten all 6, turn them into Marea who lets you keep three, including the Wooden Figure.

Where to turn in the Wooden Figure in The War Within

Now that you've got your hands on the Wooden Figure, you can use it to get the quest properly titled, well, Wooden Figure. You must then take the Wooden Figure to the NPC Barahl Lynflayme, located in the area called Dunelle's Kindness in Hallowfall.

Handing it over to Barahl will complete the quest and earn you progress toward the Lost and Found achievement. If this was the last step of the achievement for you, you will also receive the Sandy Quotidian Wear cosmetic ensemble appearance for completing the achievement.
