The Moments mode might not be on top of your priority list in EA FC 25, but it can be a great way to improve your Ultimate Team squad.

By completing the Milestones moments, you can get a Jumbo Rare Players Pack, which is valued at 100,000 coins (if you bought it from the market). You'll also get enough Stars to open a Rare Players Pack from the Moments store, which is usually valued at 55,000 coins. While completing the set can be pretty tricky, an ongoing glitch and a second controller can make your task a lot easier.

EA FC 25 Moments Glitch explained

The Moments game mode is a PvE experience where you tackle the AI in custom scenarios. Each scenario has certain conditions in order to complete them and earn the rewards. Some of them can be pretty hard (the last two sets of the Moments Milestones are great examples).

However, there is an ongoing workaround that lets you simplify the process of completing any Moments you want.

• Connect a second controller.
• Go to Friendlies.
• Select Couch Play.
• Use each controller to select a side (as if you're going up against your friend).
• Quit the match.
• Go to Moments and start one.
• Now, you'll be able to control your team and your opponents (without the glitch, your opponent will be controlled by the AI).

Once you complete the Moments Milestones across all difficulty levels, you'll automatically get a Jumbo Rare Players Pack, along with additional packs as well. There are two Rare Players Packs as well, which can be unlocked using stars from the Moments seasonal store.

While this method reportedly works on PC, I tested it out on PS5. You'll need to have a separate profile on your console for the second controller. That allows the game to think that two separate persons are playing, allowing for the glitch to happen.

In my experience, almost every board game that I have played involves some kind of strategy as you devise a plan to win. That said, this list includes games where strategy is the core part of gameplay. While there might be slight reliance on luck, your strategy, and that of your opponents, will ultimately decide who are the winners. In this list, you'll find some evergreen classics, along with a few relatively new ones.

10. Carcassonne

The strategic part of Carcassonne boils down to how you're laying down the tiles. Sometimes, you would be forced to lay down the tile at only one possible spot. But more often than not, you'll have to figure out the most efficient spot for dropping down your tile. When it comes to drawing your tiles, it's entirely dependent on luck. But it's up to you when it comes to the placements. Similarly, you'll also need to place your Meeples strategically as they fetch you all your points.

9. Splendor

Splendor has strategic decision-making at every step as you choose how to spend your gems. Being a jewel maker is no easy feat at all. Picking the gems most efficiently is the hardest thing to balance, and it becomes harder if you and your opponent are going for any of the same colors. Also, you don't have any control over which card is going to pop up next. More often than not, you might end up spending your gems on a card, only for an even better one to come up from the deck. Despite some reliance on luck, Splendor, whether played in groups of 2 or more, relies heavily on strategic decisions.

8. Wingspan

The beauty of Wingspan lies in the fact that you can only make one of four available decisions at every turn. In simpler words, you're already giving up on three alternate decisions every turn. The goal is to choose what you think is going to be the most efficient decision during a turn. However, a game changes every moment, as you and your opponents take turns to pick up new cards. While you can decide how to play the cards, elements like card draws and food tokens aren't mostly in your control. Hence, you'll need to think deeply in order to succeed in this incredible nature-themed game.

7. Pandemic

Pandemic is very different from other strategy board games on this list. For starters, you play with other people, and not against them. Pandemic is also one of the best co-op board games you can add to your collection. The common goal is to work with your buddies to solve a disease and prevent it from spreading. But you don't get a magic wand; instead, you'll need to work with the cards dealt to you. How you play out the cards from your hand, along with your buddies, will ensure if you manage to halt the next COVID-19 or not. Pandemic is also available in different themes and timelines, offering great many choices to players.

6. Twilight Imperium

Twilight Imperium is almost three decades old, and it's one of the best strategy board games of all time. Over the years, Fantasy Flight Games have made some changes with every new edition, and the latest one (fourth edition) perhaps has the most strategic decision-making at every step. Players choose from different factions, with the ultimate goal of rebuilding it. Every turn, you'll have to choose between one of the many available actions, which again depends on the cards you draw. You can't control every piece of the outcome in Twilight Imperium, but relying on sound decision-making will make your life easier.

5. Ticket to Ride

Ticket to Ride can be one of the most elaborate strategy board games you can come across. On a map, you and your opponent(s) are building the longest railroad possible while connecting cities. Each turn, you can only take one of three possible actions. There's a lot of emphasis on the risk-rewards approach. Having more destination tickets will allow you to score more, but only if you can connect the route. You can stack as many train cards as you want, but you'll have to keep pace with your opponents while laying down the routes. While the overall theme is simple, Ticket to Ride can have an extremely strategic approach at times.

4. Scythe

Scythe is arguably the best board game that I have played but don't own in my collection. Its theme can delight fans of strategic and general board games equally. There are five factions, and you have to vie for dominance in the closed city known as 'The Factory.' Each turn, you can make multiple decisions, but there's always an opportunity cost. Scythe has very little reliance on luck in the form of Encounter Cards. Other than that, every outcome will be based on your decision/actions. Additionally, every faction grows differently, adding to the overall complex nature of the game.

3. Ark Nova

Ark Nova is undoubtedly one of the new entrants to the world of strategy board games, and it inherits core parts from other hits of the genre. Like Ticket to Ride and Wingspan, your chances of winning depend on action cards. But the role of the cards is a lot less reliant on luck and more on your ability to understand what to do with them. The main goal is to improve the appeal of your park and collect conservation points. But your opponents will try to do the same, and the primary strategy is about how you play out the cards.

2. Brass: Birmingham

Brass: Birmingham sits on top of the list for strategy board games on BGG. While the game, published in 2018, doesn't attempt to do something radically new, it implements all key aspects required for a successful strategy title. The main objective is to build, develop, and establish a thriving network of industries, which takes place across two eras. In Brass: Birmingham, you have a total set of six different options, but you can only make two decisions every turn. I am a massive fan of the theme of this particular board game as well, which helps it rank slightly higher than other names on this list.

Catan is a great family game until someone rolls a seven on the dice. Catan is undoubtedly one of the older titles on this list of great strategy board games. There are multiple expansions that help to expand the base experience. At its core, Catan relies more on strategy than luck. You have to be very careful about placing your first settlements. From there on, every step involves strategy. Whether you're trading resources or expanding your settlements, there's always an opportunity cost. A good roll of dice will benefit you immensely, but your chances of winning depend mostly on your decision-making abilities.

While EA FC 25 players on Xbox consoles continue to be impacted negatively while trying to access the trial, EA Sports has figured out a temporary workaround.

Those with an Xbox Game Pass subscription are entitled to play up to ten hours of the game at no additional cost. These benefits are available to all users on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S consoles. Unfortunately, many users have been unable to to play, as the trial version gives out an error message about it being unavailable. While EA Sports continues to work on the issue, they have also advised a workaround for those affected by the glitch.

EA Sports have officially posted the latest workaround on their communications channel, and it should work if executed correctly.

• Search EA FC 25.
• Select the Free Trial version.
• Launch Xbox Dashboard.

• Return to the game.
• You'll encounter an in-game network message. Press A to proceed.

With Sanchez in your squad, there won't be a need to spend big on a safe shot-stopper in the immediate future. Once you replace him later with a better card, this promo item could become useable while completing a SBC.

Out of all currencies in EA FC 25, FC Points are the most valuable commodity in Ultimate Team.

It's the premium currency of the game which can't be earned by grinding modes. If you're on PlayStation, you can earn them by winning PlayStation tournaments. For the rest, the only way to get FC Points is by buying with real money (they can be pretty expensive). But if you have leftovers in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team, you can use that to get a head start in the latest title.

How to transfer FC Points to EA FC 25

Any FC Points remaining on your EA FC 24 Ultimate Team will automatically carry over to the new game. The core process to do so is very simple, but you'll need to be slightly careful.

• Start EA FC 25 on your console/PC.
• Accept the terms and conditions.
• Start Ultimate Team.
• When you're logging into Ultimate Team for the first time, a pop-up will appear if you have remaining FC Points in EA FC 24.
• You can choose to keep it in the old title or bring it over to EA FC 25.
• If you choose to carry it over, the updated FC Points will show on the top-right of your screen.

There are two restrictions when it comes to transferring any remaining FC Points between two games.

• You can only transfer FC Points between the same platform. If you've loaded up FC Points in FC 24 on PC, that won't carry over to consoles.
• You can only transfer FC Points if you're using the same EA account. This is mandatory even if the platform remains the same.

The World Tour Spain objective is currently live in EA FC 25, and it should be one of the your main target to complete after beginning the Ultimate Team journey.

While the objective is available for five weeks, it will be immensely beneficial to complete all the tasks as early as possible. Doing so will help you to get some great packs at no extra cost. That said, you'll have to meet the conditions of all the tasks to earn all the rewards.

That said, this will be the first time when you'll need to manage player chemistry while submitting a squad. Additionally, you'll also have to keep the nationalities and leagues of the items in mind. Hence, the task is much more complex compared to much simpler challenges like the Foundations 2 SBC.

EA FC 25 Foundations 4 SBC tasks

Like the three previous sets, Foundations 4 SBC has four different tasks.

Task 1 - Hybrid Chemistry 1

There's no set solution, and it's best to use the cards you already have. Hybrid Chemistry 1 and 2 are pretty similar- the first one requires you to use items from the same nation, while the second one requires the use of items from the same league. If you use players in their correct positions, completing the challenges won't be an issue.

The hardest one to complete is 10 Chemistry. You'll need to make a squad of 5 items and achieve 10 chemistry points. The easiest way to do that is to ensure that any 4 items have the same nation and league. That way, the fifth item becomes a surplus, and this is the easiest way to achieve 10 chemistry points.

• You'll have the option to download the 'Game Trial,' along with the ability to select an available edition for full purchase.
• On your Xbox store, search for the game. The first search result will require you to choose an edition.

Sometimes, the trial version doesn't show up on the store page. If that's the case, go to Subscriptions from inside the Store and then EA Play. The trial should be available in this section (but do note that this will only happen if the method mentioned above doesn't work).

The early access launch on PC is slightly different. But you can enjoy the trial by having an EA Play membership via either the Xbox Game Pass PC or Steam. To download the trial, make sure that you've downloaded and logged into the EA app.

Like all fodder challenges, For the Club Challenge SBC can be completed pretty easily. It only requires a 70-rated squad with 10 chemistry. But you'll need to use items from multiple leagues, and it might not be the easiest task at the start of a new game.

You'll want to use five cards from one league and evenly distribute the remaining two leagues. Make sure to use at least two items that share the same club between them. If you follow this, you won't have to bother too much about the squad chemistry.

After completing this SBC, you'll unlock a Small Electrum Players Pack. This is an untradeable pack, so you can't sell the items. Usually, a Small Electrum Players Pack doesn't hand out great rewards, but then again, it's the start of Ultimate Team. If you can find a decent 82+ card from it in exchange for fodder you won't need, it's not a bad trade-off at all.
