The best Titan build in Destiny 2

Hunter and Warlock builds in Destiny 2 are mostly easy to setup. While getting a great build going is far from easy, they have a lot of different builds that can see success even in content like Master raid encounters or Grandmaster Nightfalls. Titans don’t have it so easy, but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a good build that works. Here’s the best Titan build in Destiny 2.

The best Titan loadout in Destiny 2

As a baseline, we will be running the Titan’s Solar subclass. You can run Prismatic here, but you won’t be able to focus as heavily on Solar-related bonuses. You’ll also lose access to Solar fragments, which can provide major damage and survivability bonuses.

We’re starting things off with the Hammer of Sol Super. Burning Maul is by far much weaker, as Hammer of Sol still outputs crazy damage along with getting some nice range. For abilities, you can pick what you want for the first two but should run Throwing Hammer and Healing Grenade as your third and fourth slots. Throwing Hammer lets us get stacks of Roaring Flames and create a Sunspot, which heavily increases our damage. It will be our main source of ability damage, so you’ll want this back as quickly as possible. Meanwhile, Healing Grenade helps survivability which can be a little tough for the build.

Moving over the Aspects, Roaring Flames and Sol Invictus will be the best combo. Roaring Flames, as mentioned earlier, helps a ton for increasing Solar damage by simply damaging with Solar abilities. Meanwhile, we can get those abilities back and spam them with Sol Invictus. The idea here is to throw your hammer at an enemy to create a Sunspot, then stand in it to deal all your damage through your abilities and weapons.

If you want, you can swap out Sol Invictus for the Consecration aspect. This lets you slide to turn your Throwing Hammer into a huge solar blast wave. This is considered a meta ability by the community right now and thus could be better for you. If you do choose to go this route, you should swap the Ashes and Searing fragments below for others of your choosing.

If you haven’t swapped out Sol Invictus, we want the following fragments:

• Ember of Ashes
• Ember of Empyrean
• Ember of Torches
• Ember of Searing

Ashes provides us with more scorching to targets we hit, which just means more damage. Torches gives us with Radiant when we hit an enemy with our Throwing Hammer, which Empyrean then extends whenever we get Solar weapon or ability final blows. Finally, we have Searing, which spawns Firesprites whenever defeating scorched targets. Grabbing these gives us grenade energy, thus providing more on-demand healing.

Best Titan armor setup

The armor setup for Titan is fairly straightforward. We take the Synthoceps gauntlets here as this is a close-range build. Having that extra melee and Super damage along with the other bonuses is a huge help. Meanwhile, our other mods look to either improve survivability or buff Throwing Hammer damage. The most vital by far are the Hands-On mod for your Helmet, Heavy-Handed mod for your Gauntlets, and Solar Surges on your Leg Armor.

In terms of stat boosts through armor mods, you should focus primarily on Resilience first, then on Strength so you can get melee recharge speed. If you have some leftover, then Discipline for grenade recharge speed will help a ton.

What about weapons?

Finally we come to weapons. Here, you can run just about anything you want as long as it’s Solar. As you saw in the armor setup section, we took several Solar Weapon Surge mods which we want to exploit here. If you need some help, the weapons Tommy’s Matchbook, Sunshot, and Dragon’s Breath are the best solar Exotic weapons in the Kinetic, Energy, and Power slots respectively. Any Solar weapons in other slots are fine.
